Christmas Shopping

What a weekend! I was not able to spend much time getting out the Christmas cards or shopping until school got out last Friday. Then trying to shop for 5 kids and have the 5 kids shop for each other was another whirlwind. Finally today I told the kids not to ask me what one of their siblings would want one more time and to please ask the sibling themselves.
Yesterday's shopping trip was almost comical. After shopping numerous times with the girls who could not make a decision on a item, I finally got wise. I made sure each kid had their own money, in cash. I was tired of the expectation they would pay be back when we got home from an advance on the allowance.
Then I started dinner and put it in oven right before we left. Once we got to the store I told the girls we had to be home in 60 minutes so they had 50 minutes to shop and purchase their items.
As this was the 5th or 6th trip I didn't feel to bad with this. I enjoyed walking around the store at a leisurely pace, just browsing. Once it got close to the time we were to meet at our designated place I spotted the girls. They zoomed past me. At least twice. I just stood laughing at their shopping pace. In the end we made it home in time to take the lasagna out the oven and the girls collapsed on the floor. Meron said, "that was the hardest shopping trip ever!" Not for me.
